Geologist turned woodworker, Matt’s background in making things started at an early age from his upbringing on a family farm in NW Missouri. His passion for antiques and repurposing salvaged materials into functional pieces helped us endure restoration of our circa 1898 house. Support from family and friends, and the community of Columbia, Missouri have made this endeavor possible.
Matt’s style of woodworking highlights the beauty and shape of each unique piece of wood. Each item is handcrafted with the size and shape dictated by the wood itself. Salvaged materials, such as barn wood from a 150 year-old family barn, are used to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are beautiful and functional.
